What does Accordmere cover?
British politics and policy alongside world affairs, security, trade, finance and technology. International stories are selected for their significance and for what they help readers in Britain understand.
How do reports and analysis differ?
Reports establish documented events and attribute statements. Analysis uses that record to make an interpretation or assessment. The section and article presentation identify the format.
What does a historical article’s date mean?
It identifies the event or decision being examined. Historical coverage is arranged by that date to make the sequence easier to follow; it is not a claim that Accordmere published the article at that time.
Where can I examine the sources?
The Sources & verification section at the end of an article links to the material used. A government statement is attributed to that government, and estimates or allegations should remain identifiable as such.
How can I request a correction?
Provide the article link, the exact passage, the proposed correction and supporting evidence. This allows a factual issue to be assessed separately from a disagreement with an article’s interpretation.
Are photographs always from the event described?
No. An archive or context photograph may show a person, institution or location relevant to the story. Its caption, credit and licensing information explain its provenance.
Are the financial figures live prices?
Figures within articles relate to the reference period being discussed. They are editorial information, not a live dealing service or a personalised investment recommendation.
Can I submit an article or a story idea?
Yes. The Services page explains what to include in a proposal. Disclose relevant interests and provide sources. Publication and any payment require a separate agreement.
How is paid material identified?
Sponsored articles must carry a clear commercial label and identify the sponsor. Advertising arrangements do not confer a right to favourable editorial treatment.
Can I republish text or photographs?
Permission depends on the material and intended use. Photographs have individual licences; a right to reuse text does not automatically cover an accompanying image.
Does AI play a role in preparing articles?
AI tools may assist parts of research, drafting or translation. Their output is not an authoritative source. Facts, quotations and attribution still require verification under the editorial principles.
