Find the original exchange

Hansard is the official report of parliamentary debates. The Commons and Lords have their own records, allowing readers to locate an exchange in the relevant chamber.

Read the question and the response together. A short extract can omit qualifications or the precise subject under discussion. A responsible account links to the record and distinguishes a statement from an independently verified fact.
